TANK – the most recent up & coming newcomer in the music scene!

TANK’s debut album “FIGHTING” was released on February 2006, to an unbelievably positive response from the fans and the media. His 2nd album “Still FIGHTING” was released on a year later in January.

This well-round talent is highly recognized by many music veterans. He has been touted as the next R&B prince, a possible successor to David Tao, Wang Lee Hom and even Jay Chou.

TANK’s albums skyrocketed to No 1 on the Taiwanese music charts, a feat normally achieved by veteran singers. Shortly after his debut album released, TANK held his 1st successful solo concert in Taiwan on 1st April 2006, attracting over 10,000 people!

TANK was discovered by his records company HIM International Music, when his first piece of work was performed by Vic Chou. Since then, TANK has earned composing credits on the albums of people like Wilber Pan, Ambrose Hsu, K One, Z-Chen and also label-mates S.H.E and Fahrenheit. By the age of 21, TANK was already recognized for composing more than 200 songs. He was said to be the next big thing after David Tao, Lee-Hom Wang and Jay Chou for his talents in composing songs, singing and dancing.
Two songs which he composed – “Romance of Three Kingdoms” and “Give Me Your Love”, became ending themes of Seven Swordsmen and KO One respectively. Another song, “Tears of a Thousand Years”, was used as an ending theme for the drama serial The Little Fairy.

TANK’s second album “KEEP FIGHTING” was released on January 2007. “Personal Angel” was used for an ending theme of Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, a romantic comedy series. He was later requested by NCsoft to compose the theme song for the computer game Guild War. “Intense Battle” became the theme song for that game.
In 2007, TANK recorded the theme song for the idol series Bull Fighting with the same name.

Z Chen or Zhang Zhi Cheng, born on 8 May 1973, is a Chinese-Malaysian singer that has successfully made his name recognized in the Taiwanese music industry. To some of his fans, he is known as “The Little Prince of R&B”.
